How do you check a Toronto building permit’s status?
The City’s application and inspection status service tracks a permit through review and inspection. BuildRules does not connect to your permit file.

The City updates this service using information from the previous business day. It covers active permits within its stated age limit and recently closed or cancelled permits.
“Under Review” means review has begun. “Notice Sent” means the examiner is waiting for a response to identified items. “Permit Issued” means the permit was issued; it is not proof that the construction inspections are complete.
