Published fee information

Vaughan By-law 051-2026, Schedule F, lists a $195.00 flat 2026 fee per Part 9 accessory building without plumbing (garden shed, gazebo, cabana) under 20 m², and $590.00 flat for a garden shed/gazebo 20 m² or greater. A cabana with plumbing may fall under a different per-m² fee. IMPORTANT: these are building-permit fees ONLY IF a permit is required; the size thresholds in the fee schedule do not replace the distinct permit-exemption and zoning tests (which may be stricter). Grading permission, returnable security and other reviews may add costs. Source: City of Vaughan, 2026 Fees and Charges By-law 051-2026, Schedule F (reviewed Oct. 20, 2026).

Use this as a municipal-fee reference, not as the total project budget. Design, engineering, related applications and construction costs are separate.
